In my practice, I have a relational, holistic approach to wellness and focus on supporting clients with their inner and outer wellbeing. Some healing requires us to be in relationship with another, I hold a therapeutic space with respect, warmth and kindness in order for us to navigate that together. In the psychotherapeutic process we explore our ways of being in the world and our patterns of relating both to self and other and gently and progressively facilitate the unfolding of our authentic self and find ways to align what is truly important and meaningful in our life.
Counselling generally supports work around a specific issue, requiring practical solutions and a targeted approach while psychotherapy is a conduit for self discovery, self exploration and self awareness. I am trained in both counselling and psychotherapy and am able to support my clients in specific short term work, or longer term therapy as the work unfolds.
I am trained in Psychosynthesis, a modality which combines psychological healing with spiritual development. A basic premise of Psychosynthesis is that we all have a natural tendency towards evolution, unfolding and wholeness. Psychosynthesis is gentle and yet powerful, addressing the whole person and emphasising that love, wisdom, creativity and will are all vital aspects of the human experience.
